For parents and guardians
LaunchPad is ALTDAP's free learning path for young people. At 12 to 15 it opens through a responsible adult. If your child's school does not run it, you can be that adult, at home.
Ages 6 to 7
Start with talking
The Family Plan's guidance for ages 6 to 9 is ready now. The four activities are being checked by experts for this age, so we do not recommend them for 6 and 7 year olds yet.

Four activities, with you
Four ten-minute activities and the weekly talks, done together. Your child has no account and nothing about them is stored.

LaunchPad, with you or through school
Free lessons with a quiz after each. Through their school, or at home with you as the responsible adult (below).
How it works at homeAges 16 and over
Their own account
From 16 your child can create their own free account and take LaunchPad themselves.
Create an accountNobody under 12 has an ALTDAP account. For those ages you do the learning together, and nothing about your child is stored.
Set up your household
About two minutes. We email you a link to create your own account. It is yours alone: it only works for the email address you gave.
Create a group and confirm
Pick the first LaunchPad track. You confirm that you, the parent or guardian, have read the notice, and you name yourself as the responsible adult.
Share the join link with your child
They create their own account from it. Aged 12 to 15, they can start as soon as you have confirmed.
Stay in charge
You can see how far they have got and when they last took part. You can take them out of the group at any time.
Read the full notice for parents and guardians (it is written for schools, but what is kept and what a child is never asked to do are the same at home), and our Privacy Policy.
LaunchPad is a learning programme. It is not counselling or medical care. Get to the nearest hospital or clinic now, or call one near you. 112 is the free backup. Open the emergency page.
