Know the Truth.
Own Your Future.
ALTDAP is Nigeria's free drug abuse awareness platform — built on MSc research at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO). It provides evidence-based drug education, a gamified awareness challenge, anonymous self-check (based on CRAFFT and ASSIST clinical tools), AI peer support, and 9 evidence-based drug profiles for youth aged 16–30.
Our Mission
To reduce drug abuse initiation among Nigerian youth by making accurate, contextualised, and accessible drug abuse awareness education available to every student, parent, school, and community — for free.
The WHO estimates that awareness education reduces drug initiation rates by up to 40%. ALTDAP's FUTO research demonstrated a 31-point average improvement in student awareness scores after engaging with the platform. This is what measurable impact looks like.
What We Stand For
Evidence-Based
Every drug profile, every challenge question, and every risk-assessment item is sourced from WHO, NDLEA, UNODC, and NAFDAC data — not assumptions or scare tactics.
Designed for Nigerian Youth
Mkpuru Mmiri, Super Tramadol, codeine syrup — ALTDAP covers the substances that are actually destroying communities in Southeast Nigeria, in language that resonates locally.
Privacy First
Anonymous self-check, no data sold, no personally-identifiable information surfaced to institutions. Awareness should never come at the cost of privacy.
Community-Driven
A moderated peer forum where students, parents, and young people can share real experiences, ask real questions, and support each other — without judgment.
